Either way, local Pink Floyd tribute band Pinky and the Floyd has set its second annual Back to School Block Party for Friday, August 26th. And everyone is welcome to attend the now all-ages event, with music from 7:30 to 11 p.m.
Pinky and the Floyd is a Cactus favorite, featuring some of the area’s best musicians performing some of the most iconic songs in rock music. You’ll hear hits like “Another Brick in the Wall,” “Wish You Were Here,” “Learning to Fly,” “Money” and “Comfortably Numb,” while partying it up in front of Bridger Brewing (by Town & Country Foods on North 11th Avenue) to the band’s always-stellar stage set-up with big lights and sound.
Last year, Bridger Brewing dropped a “Crazy Diamond” IPA for the occasion, using song “Shine on You Crazy Diamond” as inspiration. This year, the brewery is looking to “Brain Damage” as the muse for a new “Lunatic” IPA. Other alcohol will be served by Sidecar Bar Service for those 21+. Food will also be available to purchase.
You can buy your tickets at Cactus, of course! Tickets are $16.50 in the store, with a $1 convenience fee added for online sales.
