Summer camping & soaking at Norris Hot Springs

Wind and the Willows
Looking to make the most of these last summer weekends? Did you promise yourself at the beginning of the summer that THIS was the summer to adventure with your RV, trailer or tent? Look no further than Norris Hot Springs to fulfill your intentions. Just 36 miles from Bozeman and 16 miles from Ennis, Norris feels like an oasis retreat within easy reach.
Norris Hot Springs has 9 RV sites with full hookups for $33/day and 4 spaces without hookups for $22/day. There’s a bathroom with separate toilet and shower facilities for men and women. For $3/day per person, campers have the option of unlimited soaking in the hot springs pool. Do the math. It’s a bargain to camp at Norris Hot Springs! Check-in time is 4pm, but you can come early, park in the overflow spots and head up to the pool till your site is ready.
Camping sites overlook the marsh that provides healthy habitat for the creatures of the wild. Bird enthusiasts will delight to see the sandhill crane family. The youngsters are growing quickly and are getting stronger in preparation for the fall migration. Look for osprey, geese, hawks, wrens and finches, too! Antelope and deer commonly graze in the land above the marsh.
If you are camping on the 14th of September, plan to look up on the ridge to watch the full moon rise starting around 10pm. The brilliant yellow moon makes a grand entrance when it crests the ridge across the marsh.
Don’t feel like cooking? The 50-Mile Grill and the 50-Mile Snack Bar have you covered with everything from fun poolside snacks to fine dining, featuring local Montana meats and garden-fresh produce. Vegan, vegetarian, carnivorous, organic, local, gluten free options are all available to meet your dietary needs. If you need a little something sweet, choose a freshly made brownie with Häagen-Dazs ice cream and house-made chocolate sauce! There are also plenty of local craft beers on tap and a carefully curated wine list so that you can pair a choice beverage with your meal and soak.
Come on a weekend and enjoy “live from the dome” music every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night starting at 7pm. Norris Hot Springs features local and nationally recognized musicians on the iconic poolside stage.

take the stage Sunday, September 8th. Imports from Evergreen, Colorado, Willows’ lead singers Ryen Dalvit and Maren Stubenvoll bring their distinct sound to Montana, a blend of brass, strings, and triple harmonies. The band’s roots lie in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. From writing tunes in caves and atop mountains, to performing in taprooms and other intimate venues, these once upon a time classmates became a songwriting duo finding inspiration in their beautiful surroundings and budding sisterhood.
Edwin Johnson is next up on Friday, September 13th. Johnson performs multiple musical styles and genres, traveling all over the United States and Canada. He composes songs “on the fly” with live recording looping technology.
Catch Seldom Kings poolside on Saturday, September 14th. The fun, creative pair of multi-instrumentalists will entertain with original music, spot-on covers and those barely recognizable, as well as some other great surprises.
Lang Termes provides the tunes on Sunday, September 15th. His vocal style ranges from mellow folk ballads to growling boogie blues. His style of songwriting – both original music and lyrics – comes deep from the heart, or in some cases, bubbles up from his whimsical sense of irony. Lang’s selection of covers ranges from early country blues to the full gamut of contemporary classics. A few of his biggest influences include Muddy Waters, Woody Guthrie, Bruce Springsteen, Eddie Vedder, and Townes Van Zandt.
