For the third consecutive year, Gallatin Valley Hoops will be hosting the ProChiropractic Valley Showcase high school all-star basketball game at the Belgrade Special Events Center. The date for this year’s contests will be Tuesday, March 15th, with the action set to tip off at 6:00 p.m. The girls will get the evening started, followed by the boys at 7:30.
The Valley Showcase, sponsored in part by Universal Athletics and Danhof Chevrolet, features the top high school basketball players from the surrounding high schools: Bozeman, Belgrade, Livingston, Three Forks, Manhattan, Manhattan Christian, Shields Valley and Gallatin Valley Homeschool. To be eligible to play in the game, athletes needed to have earned a Varsity letter in the 2015-16 season and been nominated by their head coach. Players are then split into two even teams for one head-to-head contest in both boys and girls. The teams will be coached by local coaches, such as Christian’s boys’ coach Jeff Bellach and Bozeman’s girls’ coach Erika Gustavsen. As in year’s past, there will be a three-point contest during halftime of the girls’ game, and a skills contest at halftime of the boys’ game.

2015 Valley Showcase Boys All-Stars
There will also be the announcement of the 2016 Gallatin Valley Hoops Mr. and Ms. Basketball, given to the top player in the area for both boys and girls, as well as the Coach of the Year announcement. Bozeman’s Oliver Carr took home the first Mr. Basketball back in 2014. Past participants from the Bozeman Hawks include current MSU-Northern redshirt Adam Huse, and current Carroll College standout, Oliver Carr on the boys’ side, and current MSU volleyball commit, Caitlyn Lonergan for the girls. The Valley Showcase is a action-packed, high intensity night of basketball honoring the top players the surrounding areas has to offer. Make plans to come out and support these fine athletes on Tuesday, March 15th beginning at 6:00 p.m. For ticket prices or more information, log on to www.gallatinvalleyhoops.com. •
