On March 11th, at the Baxter Hotel from 7-10pm
Nearly three years ago, Sasha Joseph Neulinger made the most important decision of his life. He decided to direct an autobiographical documentary about surviving child sexual abuse. What started as an idea in his college apartment three years ago has snowballed into an international movement that has reached nearly every corner of the globe. Rewind To Fast-Forward became the 6th most backed documentary in Kickstarter history in 2014. With the success of the Kickstarter, Sasha was able to hire and direct an EMMY Award Winning crew in Philadelphia for a three week film shoot, wrapping principle photography. While assistant editing began, Sasha started touring the nation, becoming a keynote speaker for over a dozen child protection conferences nationwide.
On March 27th, 2015, Sasha delivered his TEDx Talk, “Trauma is irreversible, How it shapes us is our choice.” Just this week, it has surpassed 72,000 views. In August 2016, Sasha will be the Keynote Speaker for the National Crimes Against Children Conference in Dallas, TX, where he will speak to over 4,000 FBI agents, U.S. Marshals, prosecutors, detectives, and child protective service agents. As the platinum Sponsor of the conference, Facebook will introduce Sasha as the keynote Speaker. With a Sundance Editor and Skywalker Sound (sound designers of Star Wars) ready to join Sasha and his crew, Rewind To Fast-Forward will not only help to protect future generations of children and promote healing for adult survivors worldwide, but a film that is technically sound and primed for a long festival run. On March 11th, at the Baxter Hotel from 7-10pm, Sasha and his team plan to raise the remaining funds needed to finish the film.
With an art gallery from SLAM, music by Megan Makeever and Echodrive, drinks from MAP Brewing, and dinner by Victory Taco with Dessert by LUXE, and never before seen footage from the film, the Rewind To Fast-Forward Fundraiser will be a truly amazing event. An after party will follow at Redbrain Media from 10pm-2am. Tickets to this event are $75 per person.
