Ah, spring!
Hard to believe spring begins this month, but of course, this being Montana, it might also mean a blizzard and freeze here or there, but still…it’s almost here! We start off with a round of thanks to all those who have attended our shows at Desert Rose, the Legion in Livingston and the Legion in Manhattan. We’ve seen a remarkable spike in attendance at those three in particular, as well, of course, as Stacey’s. Also thanks to the Riverhouse Grill for having us back as a trio again, on the big stage, and to all those that attended. We got more dates there for the rest of this year, and they’ll be reflected on the attached updated Calendar. As of this writing, all of them will be as a trio on the big stage, but should anything change we’ll obviously keep you informed. (PS: we’re there March 19 as a trio).
You’ll also notice a slight change in the August dates: August 28th at the Legion in Manhattan has been changed to August 21st, in order to accommodate a birthday party for the 28th.
After an off first weekend in March, things get back in full gear starting with Stacey’s March 11-12, followed by the Sacajawea in Three Forks the 18th, the aforementioned Riverhouse the 19th, once again the Legion in Livingston March 25, and the big Easter Sunday extravaganza at the Legion in Manhattan the 27th, where we expect to see lots of ornate bonnets…hopefully on the women. The month then gets capped off March 31 back at the Desert Rose (with their marvelous new dance floor). In fact all the above venues have great dance floors, and we hope to see as many of you take advantage of them as possible.
We also urge all our friends not to forget to patronize all the venues that support live music in Montana…not just the ones we perform in but where other notable acts perform in as well. It’s a privilege to have such widespread support for live entertainment in this part of the Universe, and one for which we’re deeply grateful. But it’s only made possible through constant patronage, and we ask that you take time to have dinner (and by the way, all of the above venues that serve food have a phenomenal menu), buy a beer…., any way that can contribute to the cost of providing live music, so that we can continue this pattern through the coming years. Of course, we’re ALWAYS grateful to you, our fans and friends, for coming out to dance to the Sugar Daddies. You make our job fun, and not a job.
Have a great spring, get your fishing gear out, and bring the dancing shoes!
