Big Sky’s Warren Miller Performing Arts Center is delivering Southwest Montana audiences plenty of opportunities to experience live entertainment by national acts this winter.
Next up is a night of standup comedy with Chad Daniels on Saturday, January 7th. Two shows will be held at 6pm and 8pm with advance tickets ranging $20–$55.
With close to a billion streams of his six albums to date, and averaging a million more every week, Daniels is one of the most listened to comedians of all time. His third stand-up special and fifth album, Dad Chaniels, released in 2019 and his hugely popular podcast, “Middle of Somewhere,” co-hosted with Cy Amundson, releases weekly. Daniels’ latest album, Twelfth Night, is available now. This is an 18+ show.
Classical jazz fusion project Brooklyn Rider and soloist Magos Herrera follow with a 7:30pm concert on Saturday, January 21st. Advance tickets range $20–$55.
With their gripping performance style and unquenchable appetite for musical adventure, Brooklyn Rider has carved a singular space in the world of string quartets over their fifteen-year history. The group finds equal inspiration in musical languages ranging from late Beethoven to Persian classical music to American roots music to the endlessly varied voices of living composers. They perform with the dazzling Mexican jazz singer Magos Herrera, who embraces elements of contemporary jazz with Ibero-American melodies and rhythms singing in Spanish, English and Portuguese, in a style that elegantly blends and surpasses language boundaries.
And looking to a new month, International Guitar Night returns to Big Sky on Tuesday, February 7th. The show begins at 7:30pm with advance tickets available for $20–$55.
Each year, founder Brian Gore invites a new cast of guitar luminaries from around the world for North American concert tours highlighting the diversity of the acoustic guitar. The 23rd Anniversary North American Tour of International Guitar Night features Finnish Guitarist Olli Soikelli, Soloist and Chamber Musician Stephanie Jones, Flamenco master Jesus Guerrero from Spain, and Canada’s traditional jazz guitarist and vocalist Jocelyn Gould.
