This summer, West Yellowstone Chamber of Commerce will present five nights of free outdoor live music in Pioneer Park, located at the corner of Highway 20 and Canyon St. Music in the Park is a treat for visitors, where they can experience the old fashioned pleasure of music flowing across the town during this summer concert series. Bring your blankets, chairs and the whole family to enjoy the live entertainment. Come soak up the sound and take in a beautiful Montana sunset! Here’s a look at the upcoming festivities.
An opening performance by Bo DePeña as part of the Fourth of July Celebration kicks things off on Friday, July 4th, with an opening set by Zech Peabody. Music begins at 7pm and will be followed by the annual firework show. The Colorado-based musician fronts high-energy shows that have generated a loyal fan base around the mountain west, with fans of the country music tradition embracing his contributions. His lyrical content is often universal, evoking memories of past lives, lost loves and a longing for home.
Following on Saturday, July 19th, is Austin English. Josh Langston opens the 6:30pm show. Building a fanbase with his dynamic vocals and songs authentic and infectious, the Texan country up-and-comer puts on an amazing performance. His music is reflective of his rural upbringing but is as eclectic and diverse as the landscape where he was raised.
The Soul Funk Collective performs on Friday, August 1st. Music begins at 7pm. The Billings group specializes in playing “sweet, funky soul music,” drawing inspiration from artists like The Temptations, Earth, Wind & Fire, and Parliament Funkadelic. The band is known for its high-energy performances for their passionate audiences.
Following on Saturday, August 2nd, enjoy a show from classic rock ensemble the Limited Warranty Band. Show starts at 12:30pm. The band is strong with country, solid with rock and loves to create unique, sometimes magical moments when they take the stage. They perform in a mixed style of old and new country, blues and rock.
Closing out the series on Saturday, August 16th, is SunsAh406. Tessy Lou will warm things up at 6:30pm. The Helena-based Americana band’s tight harmonies and unique song choices make for an ear-catching sound that’ll have you tapping your toes. Originally formed in 2015, the band has grown into a dance-friendly four to five-piece that puts a new twist on old sounds, in addition to plenty of originals.
