Warm the belly after a day of winter activity with a hot coffee accompanied by some live music at Wild Joe*s. Downtown Bozeman’s Coffee Spot is a great place to check out early evening and afternoon sets by local and traveling artists. And of course, their menu offers plenty of delicious caffeinated and other treats to enjoy alongside the tunes! Here’s a look at what’s coming up.
Enjoy the talents of local country artist William Chandler Huntley on Friday, February 22nd from 6–8pm. The South Carolina native draws influence from Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Guy Clark, John Prine, Robert Earl Keen and other country greats, from the current and past. His upbeat, finger-picking guitar style and soulful voice are something to behold.

Local duo Caampwood heads downtown with a Sunday afternoon show on February 24th from 1–3pm. Comprised of Savannah Wood (vocals) and Reese Campbell (guitarist), the pair brings a mellow, laid-back vibe, perfect for enjoying a hot cup of coffee on a cold Bozeman winter’s day.
The next Open Mic Night will take place Friday, March 1st from 6–8pm. Come for an evening of music performed by local musicians. Bring your guitar, sitar, zither, poetry, comedy, or theremin and take a turn up at the mic. Show Bozeman what you’re made of! Individual set lengths depend on the number of musicians who want to play. Sign-ups start at 5:30pm – first come, first served. Be sure to bring your friends and support live music in Bozeman! A modest contribution to the kitty will be divided by participating musicians at the end of the night. The more people who come, the more money in the pot.
Wyoming-based Drones Over Yellowstone visit the Coffee Spot with a show on Sunday, March 3rd from 1–3pm. The band focuses on bluesy, jazzy rock, borrowing its sound from genres such as ska/reggae, blues, and even some folk artists like The Tallest Man on Earth. Drone originals, “Time Bomb,” “Paper Receipt,” and “Broken,” among others, are available now.
