The Attic awaits! Ward Davis, Blue Water Highway up next
Downtown Livingston’s favorite live music spot brings in acts to suit every palate – and plenty of cocktails to go with ‘em! Here’s a look at some of the upcoming artists heading up to The Attic.
Arkansan by way of Nashville singer/songwriter Ward Davis is first up on Friday, February 15th with local help from Sean Devine at 8pm. Tickets to this 21+ show are $20. Doors at 7pm.
Davis has had songs recorded by Trace Adkins, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Wade Hayes, Sammy Kershaw, Bucky Covington, Jimmie Van Zant, Buddy Jewel, Carolina Rain, The Roys, and more. More recently, Davis co-wrote “I’m Not the Devil” with Cody Jinks, with whom he subsequently toured with nationwide. With over 250 shows per year under his belt as both a headliner and support act, Davis’ already popular live show is growing at exponential rates. His latest EP, Asunder, released in November.
Following Saturday, February 16th, Blue Water Highway return to Southwest Montana with a performance at 8:30pm. Tickets to this 21+ show are $15. Doors at 7:30pm.
Blue Water Highway comes from the working class, coastal town background that has informed the work of so many of rock’s greatest writers and artists. They take their name from the roadway that links their hometown of Lake Jackson, Texas to Galveston, where the cops, the teachers, the baristas and the chemical plant workers travel to work hard and to play hard, blowing off steam, dancing to their favorite bands. Blue Water Highway’s music is the soundtrack for their lives. Their latest album, last summer’s Heartbreak City, features lead-off single “Best Friend” and is available now.
Looking ahead, Idaho-based tunesmith Steve Fulton performs on Friday, March 8th with special guest Dustin Morris and opener Audrey Hall at 8:30pm. Tickets to this 21+ show are $10. Doors at 7:30pm.
Fulton is a singer/songwriter from Boise who performs under the stage name SFM, or Steve Fulton Music. He’s toured his act all over the country for the last two decades with his band and as a solo artist. Fulton has shared the stage with acclaimed artists Michael Franti, Jewel, Shaun Colvin, John Hiatt, Mindy Smith, Tori Amos, Jefferson Starship, Blue Öyster Cult and The Wallflowers. Fulton’s musical persona includes full-band funky rock/reggae and stripped-down Americana, both showcased on 2016’s Eponym.
