Shèn White Chapel
Mission Statement
Our goal is to create a respite from the chaos of everyday life. A place where our patients can get the help they need to live their best lives.
Definition of SHÈN
Shèn is a Chinese word that translates to spirit.
It embodies consciousness, emotions, and thought. Traditional Chinese Medicine views the spirit as an integral part of our health and our well being. Chinese masters say it is through Shen that we radiate ourselves into the world. It contributes to wisdom, virtue, calmness, and maintains our whole being in order.
History of the White Chapel
The chapel was the first Catholic church in Bozeman. Built in 1886, it was originally on the corner of North 7th Avenue and Mendenhall. It was set to be torn down in the early 1960’s. Marguerite Kirk upon learning of the pressing demolition of the church literally stood between the bulldozer and the chapel. She was given only a few days to move the church and luckily for Shen she succeeded. We dedicate this space to you Marguerite!
