Now, as America’s newest and most exciting ski resort, you’ll enjoy thousands of acres of extraordinary ski terrain on the north face of Montana’s famed Lone Mountain.
First-class lodging and vacation home opportunities include townhomes, homesites, cabins and homes.
From the mountain, you gaze out at the famed Spanish Peaks and the Lee Metcalf Wilderness Area. And you look out over thousands of acres of mountain and forest terrain placed into permanent conservation easements.

Directions: Moonlight Basin is 2 miles from Big Sky off US Highway 191 and 45 miles south of Bozeman.
Season: Mid November – Mid April
The Mountain: Lone Mountain is a special place. And Moonlight Basin is located on the prized North Face of this extraordinary peak.
The northerly exposure ensures the greatest snow conditions in Montana (of course, an average of 400 inches of light, dry powder each year helps too).
The terrain? Pick your pleasure. There’s terrain for beginners, long, winding cruisers and some truly-hair-raising steeps and chutes. Groomed cruisers. Powder stashes that last for days. It’s all here, and it’s all waiting for you.
There’s even a special trail network accessed only by snowcat.
Four lifts will serve the trail network in the innagural season: a quad chairlift, a triple chairlift, and Montana’s only high-speed detachable six-passenger chairlift.
