Fly Fishing Discovery Center
Combining a fly fishing museum, a fly fishing research library, dynamic aquarium displays, an extensive collection of angling art and educational programs, the Fly Fishing Discovery Center offers visitors a complete introduction into the sport of fly fishing. Owned and operated by the Federation of Fly Fishers the center is the worlds only facility of its kind. The history and development of fly fishing are explored through exhibits and displays while conservation and aquatic life displays offer entertaining education to all visitors. Serious fly fishers will be captivated by the extensive collection of flies and equipment and all visitors will enjoy the live fish, resource displays, and artwork. Featured in many national publications, the Fly Fishing Discovery Center, offers a unique opportunity to explore the sport that has captured the attention of the world.Education programs are an important part of the Fly Fishing Discovery Center. During the summer free fly casting lessons are offered to the public every Tuesday and Thursday evening. There is a daily guided museum walk at 1:00pm, fly fishing day camps are offered to children of all ages and frequent special activities are scheduled throughout the year. Non anglers are especially welcome at the Center. No experience is necessary to make your visit to the International Fly Fishing Center a vacation highlight.
The Fly Fishing Discovery Center is located at the corner of B and Lewis Streets in downtown Livingston, in the old Lincoln School building.
