Central Valley Fire Training Center – Belgrade
The gateway to southwest Montana…Central Valley Fire District lies sixty miles north of Yellowstone National Park in the heart of beautiful Gallatin County, Montana. CVFD provides all risk fire, rescue, and emergency medical services for 36,000 citizens residing in a two-hundred-square-mile area including Belgrade, River Rock, Valley Center, Four Corners, Springhill, Reece Creek, and Dry Creek communities. The District provides services to the City of Belgrade as the Belgrade Fire Department via a contractual Interlocal Agreement.
Within the boundaries of the District are expansive agricultural, wildland and recreation areas, large single-family homes and multi-family residential subdivisions, and a vibrant growing business community. The District is home to the International Bozeman-Yellowstone Airport and is bisected by a major interstate highway (I-90) and the Montana Rail Link railroad.
Central Valley Fire District is a combination fire department where volunteer and career firefighters work side by side. The District operates seven stations strategically located throughout the jurisdiction. Staffed 24 hours a day, Station 1 in downtown Belgrade is also the District’s administrative offices. Station 2 and Station 3 are staffed with resident volunteers, and the remaining four are rural volunteer stations.
The District holds an Insurance Services Office Public Protection Class rating of 3 in areas within 1,000 feet of a fire hydrant and a 5 in all other areas that are within 5 road miles of a fire station.
