Upcoming Thrive programs: Dynamite Dads & winter parenting
Thrive will present Dynamite Dads: Lego Extravaganza on Wednesday, January 17th from 6–7:30pm. This edition of the popular series will take place at Belgrade Community Library, located at 106 N Broadway. Come construct objects, vehicles, buildings, robots, houses, or whatever your imagination will let you build! Thrive will provide dinner and the Belgrade Library will have all the Legos.
This event series puts male role models in the spotlight and fosters the father-child bond. Dynamite Dads is free of charge and dinner is included — plus, moms get a night off! Preregistration is required for these events.
Also this month, Thrive presents winter series, Early Childhood Love & Logic: Parenting Made Fun. This six-week course, developed by the Love and Logic Institute, Inc., will help you find specific answers and strategies for some of those difficult moments in parenting. These simple techniques will be geared towards early childhood.
The classes will be led by Thrive’s Parent Place and are designed for parent/caregivers of children ages 0–6. You will learn strategies to feel better about your parenting techniques, deepen your relationship with your child and receive more enjoyment in parenting.
This six-week course will be held on the following Thursday evenings: Jan. 18th, Jan. 25th, Feb. 1st, Feb. 8th, Feb. 15th, and Feb. 22nd. Each will take place at Christ the King Lutheran Church, located at 4383 Durston Rd. in Bozeman. Open for all families with children ages 0-6. Cost is $10 for the recommended workbook.
There are a limited number of free childcare spots through Dino Drop-In. This is first come, first served for kids ages 6 months to 10 years.
