This is the time of year when the shorter days bring people into Uncorked – Livingston’s fantastic wine bar – for the warm, delicious food specials, sparkly lights and, of course, the expansive wine list. Joining friends to share an order of fondue has become a weekly routine for many.
As Thanksgiving draws near, the Gourmet Cellar – Uncorked’s sister store – is abuzz with activity as people buy wine, fine imported cheeses and meats from their unique deli counter. Champagne and sparkling wines are also available to enjoy with family and friends.
Many of these vintages can be ordered by the glass at Uncorked as well, and remember Fridays are live music nights beginning at 6pm. Kicking things off on November 16th is Virginia Warner. She’s a singer/songwriter with a passion for Delta blues. Her performances showcase both original material and traditional, fingerstyle blues songs, fueled by the powerful mojo of a vintage Gretsch archtop guitar with a neck like a baseball bat.
Uncorked has a very special post-holiday treat in store on Friday, November 23rd – Park High j
azz band The Five! This talented group of musicians will keep you entertained with the best of classic and modern jazz. These amazing students have packed the house with their previous shows, fun for the whole family!
Closing out the month on Friday, November 30th are the Coyote Gypsies. Southwest Montana’s eclectic Klezmer band offers Eastern European folk music with a Western edge. Where the Old World meets the New West, they play howlin’ good music. The Coyote Gypsies duo is composed of Mark Schlenz (violin) and Jane Freeburg (accordion, guitar, bass, percussion).
Uncorked is located at 212 W Park St. in historic Downtown Livingston. Stop in for cheese and charcuterie features and wine tastings. For more information about Gourmet Cellars or Uncorked, please visit www.thegourmetcellar.com or check them out on Facebook.
