There’s few places that feature bombastic live music and a place to lay your head, but Chico Hot Springs offers both – not to mention a good soak after the party’s over. A local getaway, the resort is ideal for weekend escapes with live entertainment every weekend. Here’s a look at what’s coming up.
The zestful blend of blues rock, soul and reggae comes to the Saloon with Shortchange on September 9th and 10th. Let yer hair down and cut up the floor and with this lively bunch of Montana musicians.
BlackWater Band perform mid-month, Sept. 16th and 17th. The rock n’ roll variety group will have you on your feet and on the dance floor in no time, so order a drink at the bar and get that liquid motivation flowing!
Tsunami Funk bring back-to-back shows to Chico on Sept. 23rd and 24th. The Bozeman-favorite group always packs the dance floor with Funk/R&B-rocking grooves. They play tunes from artists like Stevie Wonder, Pharrell Williams, Bruno Mars, Red Hot Chili Peppers, James Brown, Earth Wind & Fire, Sly & the Family Stone, Kool & the Gang, Van Morrison, Steely Dan, Bob Marley, and many more!
Taking the stage Sept. 30th and October 1st are Matt Wallin & His Nervous Breakdown. The frontman tells stories about the trials and hardships of farm life and oil boomtowns, to starting a family and following your own path. His debut album, Ravens, paints musical pictures with writing that reflects the character of Corb Lund, Waylon Jennings and Vic Chestnutt. Wallin’s music hits on ethereal parts of human life: love, connections and regret, all interwoven into the fabric of his artistry.
Live Saloon music begins at 9pm, unless otherwise noted. Chico Hot Springs is located in Pray, 20 miles south of Livingston. For more information, visit www.chicohotsprings.com. •
