Presenting the next in its 2025 performance series, Montana Chamber Music Society will coalesce the talents of three international artists. Angella Ahn, Albert Cano Smit and Amer Hasan perform on Friday, November 7th. The concert will be held at Reynolds Recital Hall on the Montana State University campus. Music begins at 7:30pm.
Three friends coming together – a musician who has been praised as “a moving young poet” (Le Devoir of Montreal), Spanish/Dutch pianist Albert Cano Smit enjoys a growing international career on the orchestral, recital and chamber music stages; Palestinian-American clarinetist Amer Hasan has engaged audiences worldwide, including performances across the United States, Latin America, Europe, East Asia and Jordan; joined by MCMS’s own Angella Ahn.

The evening program will include: Franz Schubert’s Wanderer Fantasy in C Major, D. 760, Aram Khachaturian’s Trio for Clarinet, Violin & Piano, Mel Bonis’s Au crépuscule, Op. 111 and Paul Schoenfeld’s Trio for Clarinet, Violin & Piano.
The trio’s regional tour will include “An Intimate Evening of Music & Conversations” at Bozeman’s Aspevig Studio on Nov. 6th at 6:30pm and a free rural concert at The Clark Chateau in Butte on Nov. 8th at 2pm. Find ticketing information for these performances through the host website.
Admission to all regular Montana Chamber Music Society performances is $35 for adults, $25 for seniors, and $10 for students. Tickets may be purchased at www.montanachambermusicsociety.org. These are also available at the door, depending on availability. Net proceeds from these programs support MCMS’s mission to present great chamber music performances throughout Montana year-round. •
