MontanaPBS Indie Lens Pop-Up to show ‘The Providers’
From MSU News Service
Rural health care and the effects of physician shortages found in many parts of the country will be the subject of a documentary at the next MontanaPBS Indie Lens Pop-Up set for 5:30pm Monday, March 11th, in the Montana State University Procrastinator Theater. Doors will open at 5pm.
The Providers, a film by Laura Green and Anna Moot-Levin, follows three health care providers in New Mexico who go to great lengths to deliver coverage to marginalized patients who would otherwise be left out of the health care system.
MontanaPBS has created a website for attendees that lists major rural health care resources in Montana: www.montanapbs.org/events/ILPU/providers.
Featuring documentaries seen on the PBS series Independent Lens, Indie Lens Pop-Up events bring people together for film screenings and community-driven conversations on a range of topics, such as family and relationships.
While the event is free, advance registration is encouraged because of limited space at www.eventbrite.com. •
