The Fall foliage is in full affect in Southwest Montana. Dive into some great live music at Chico Hot Springs Saloon after a leisurely cruise through Paradise Valley. Live entertainment heads to Pray every Friday and Saturday evening so you can kick up your feet – and soak them too!
Laney Lou & the Bird Dogs are back Friday and Saturday, October 19th–20th. The band’s live shows are highlighted by unbridled energy, punctuated by songs performed with fervor and swagger. Fusing old time folk songs with a rock n’ roll attitude, the group push the envelope of what a string band would generally be described as. Having shared stages with Corb Lund, Hayes Carll, Hurray for the Riff Raff, The Mavericks, Wynonna Judd, Mark Chesnutt, and The Lil’ Smokies, they released their eponymous debut in the spring of 2016. Recorded live at Basecamp Studio, the album is one that reflects their live show and makes you want to stomp your feet and crack open a beer. Their latest album, The Vigilante Session, released last year.
BlackWater Band will bring the noise Friday and Saturday, October 26th–27th. The rock n’ roll variety group will have you off your feet and on the dancefloor in no time at all, so order a drink at the bar and get that liquid motivation flowing! Note: Saturday’s show doubles as Chico’s Halloween Party, so dress your best for the costume contest – all will be judged at 11pm to determine this year’s winner!
Tom Catmull’s Last Resort is set for Friday and Saturday, November 2nd–3rd. Tom has been writing, recording, performing, eating and breathing music for nearly two decades. He likes telling stories, making acoustic and electric guitar sounds and using them to wrap words around a melody. The style of Tom’s music usually lands somewhere between the blurred lines of country, country swing, pop, and folk. His band, Last Resort, is an all original rock/pop four-piece. The current lineup of musicians includes Travis Yost (harmony, electric bass), Jaime Rogers (drums), Gibson Hartwell (pedal steel, electric guitar), and the man himself on acoustic and electric guitar, as well as harmonica and plenty of crooning.
Chico Saloon music begins at 9pm, unless otherwise noted. Chico Hot Springs is located in Pray, 20 miles south of Livingston. Come sip, soak, and swing! For more information, visit www.chicohotsprings.com.
