Teton Gravity Research brings its 31st annual ski film, Actually, It Is Rocket Science, to Bozeman early next month. The anticipated screening event is set for Friday, October 2nd, at the Emerson Center for the Arts & Culture.
The screening will showcase the newest chapter in TGR’s more than three-decade study of skiing, featuring some of the world’s best skiers across the most challenging terrain on the planet – including Montana locals Maggie Voisin and Parkin Costain, alongside Bozeman’s own Entourage Crew.
The Bozeman-based crew, known for its athlete-driven ski films, recently earned TGR’s Cruiser Award for Outstanding Filmmaking at the 2026 TGR Dream Factory Film Festival for its feature, Too True. The film showcased a crew of Montana-connected skiers including Daniel Johnson, Nicholas Johnson, Rylan Messner, Luke Price, Jasper Skidmore, Andrew Bird and others.
Actually, It Is Rocket Science continues TGR’s longstanding relationship with Montana’s skiing community, with Montana also serving as one of the filming locations. From Bute Inlet, British Columbia, and Haines, Alaska, to Japan, Finland, Andorra, Montana, Jay Peak, Vermont, and Jackson Hole, Wyoming, the film brings together massive mountain lines, technical terrain, deep snow, high-speed progression, and the personalities that continue to push the sport forward.
Actually, It Is Rocket Science will screen at the Emerson Center on Oct. 2nd, with an early 6pm showing and late show to follow at 8pm. Advance tickets are $22 for adults and $15 for youth. Doors at 5:30pm and 7:30pm, respectively. Visit www.tetongravity.com to reserve your seat.
