The Montana Chamber Music Society celebrates its annual Montana Chamber Music Festival with local performances on July 15th, 16th and 18th. The Tuesday performance will be held at the Big Sky Center for the Arts, followed by a free Wednesday show at Belgrade’s Peace Lutheran Church, then moving to Bozeman for a Friday program at Reynolds Recital Hall on the Montana State University campus. The Big Sky and Belgrade performances begin at 7pm, and 7:30pm in Bozeman.
This year’s program will center around Johanny Navarro’s “Celebration” for Piano Trio, Mozart G Minor Piano Quartet and Dvorak Piano Quintet. Performers include Angella Ahn (violin), Peter Zazofsky (violin), Sharon Wei (viola), Sara Stalnaker (cello) and Michele Levin (piano).
The festival includes additional performances at 2pm on July 12th at the American Prairie National Discovery Center in Lewistown, followed by a 4pm performance at Anaconda’s St. Timothy’s Memorial Chapel on July 13th. Visit the MCMS website for additional details and ticketing access.
Admission to all Montana Chamber Music Society performances is $35 for adults, $25 for seniors, and $10 for students. Tickets may be purchased at www.montanachambermusicsociety.org. These are also available at the door, depending on availability. Net proceeds from these programs support MCMS’s mission to present great chamber music performances throughout Montana year-round. •
