It’s a family affair at Livingston’s Shane Lalani Center for the Arts as their 2023 community theatre season continues. Don your brightest duds for The SpongeBob Musical with performances running from October 20th through November 12th.
The stakes are higher than ever in this hilarious musical as SpongeBob, Patrick, Sandy, Squidward and all of Bikini Bottom learn that a nearby volcano threatens the total annihilation of their undersea world. Chaos ensues, fear and confusion reign, and lives hang in the balance. Just when all hope seems lost, a most unexpected hero rises up and takes center stage. The power of optimism really can save the world!
Adapted from the iconic Nickelodeon series, The SpongeBob Musical features songs written by a huge variety of renowned recording artists – Panic! At the Disco, Sara Bareilles, John Legend, David Bowie, Cyndi Lauper, The Flaming Lips and They Might Be Giants, to name a few.
The SpongeBob Musical runs weekends from October 20th to November 12th. Performances take place in the Dulcie Theatre. Show times are Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, with Sunday matinees to follow at 3pm. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors/students/veterans, and $10 for youth 17 & under.
