Cole Decker Band is set for September 1st and 2nd. The Mississippi-born frontman pulls from his musical roots of old school country. He’s influenced by the likes of Waylon Jennings and newer artists including Chris Stapleton, Brent Cobb and Jason Isbell. Expect full-band performances of songs featured on Decker’s debut EP, Can’t Ruin a Bad Reputation.
Check out the Stormgrass Band on Sept. 8th and 9th. The trio performs tight harmonies and a wide-ranging Americana sound. Band members include Jeff Peterson (guitar, vocals), Cabot Metz (banjo, steel) and Shawna Lockhart (bass).
Ian Thomas & Band of Drifters are back Sept. 15th and 16th. The group plays modern American roots music and encourage audiences to dance. Based mostly in Montana and Tennessee, the band also includes players from all over the country, keeping the music varied in arrangement, instrumentation and regional influences. The Drifters’ sets draw from country, folk and blues traditions with an emphasis on original songs, done in the old style.
Tsunami Funk follow with back-to-back shows on Sept. 22nd and 23rd. The Bozeman-favorite group always packs the dance floor with Funk/R&B-rocking grooves. Tsunami Funk plays tunes from artists like Stevie Wonder, Pharrell Williams, Bruno Mars, Red Hot Chili Peppers, James Brown, Earth Wind & Fire, Sly & the Family Stone, Kool & the Gang, Van Morrison, Steely Dan, Bob Marley, and many more!
The Blake Brightman Band plays for Saloon-goers Sept. 29th and 30th. The five-piece follows the frontwoman’s lead with an energetic set of hits and originals. The singer/songwriter’s stylings fall somewhere between country western and Mississippi blues, with her own modern spin.
