Though the sunny season is quickly approaching, a soak in the bubbling waters of Chico Hot Springs remains a great way to warm up on our chilliest spring days. First up, enjoy the talents of El Wencho on May 3rd and 4th. The powerhouse duo delivers big sound that relates the Montana lifestyle through immersive lyrics, catchy melodies and driving rhythms. Their authentic music is an eclectic fusion of genres that draws on sonic elements from red dirt rock, blues, country, Americana and polyrhythmic Latin percussion. Live shows are an experiential combination of their dynamic Montana sound, engaging storytelling and comedic flair.
Shakedown County returns for back-to-back performances on May 10th and 11th. Visiting from Great Falls, the foursome is one of Montana’s favorite country dance bands that delivers audiences energetic renditions of all the classics and beyond. Expect a supercharged night of country-rock.
Paradise Valley favorites The Fossils return with a pair of shows May 17th and 18th. Known around town for their authentic hippie music, the band guarantees a rockin’ good time. The members have been acquainted for years and are connected by their love of music.
Bad Neighbor takes the stage May 24th and 25th. Fusing alt rock, pop punk, classic rock and a touch of country, the Bozeman foursome puts on an incredible show. Their covers like “Burnin’ for You” and “Mr. Brightside” highlight their diverse influences, while heartfelt originals like “Best Part of Me” showcase their genre-blending charm.
Bird Dog Brian Kassay will deliver a special Sunday solo performance on May 26th at 7pm. The local musician mixes guitar, violin, keyboard and harmonica in creation of his unique, live-looping performances.
Under the Bleachers rock the house May 31st and June 1st. The band consists of Scott Williams (guitar), Tim Borsberry (drums), and Chris Heisel (bass). They have an intensely diverse song list, a result of their diverse origins. Tim hails from Helena, Chris from Great Falls, and Scott is a transplant from Los Angeles. A look over the band’s song list will show they keep up with today’s hits – and have been playing yesterday’s since they were a ‘hit’ the first time!
