Soak n’ swing with Chico trip in waning days of winter
As winter marches toward its final stretch, many of us have succumbed to a cabin fever longtime residents are familiar with this time of year. Get out of dodge with a trip to Chico Hot Springs. The resort is perfect for quick getaways and its Saloon features the very best in local talent every weekend.
Savvy is set for March 11th and 12th. The soulful foursome play rock versions of songs from every genre. The band is fronted by Kristen Lundell, a local singer/songwriter and guitarist known for her catchy, melodic rock originals inspired by the likes of Veruca Salt, Juliana Hatfield and The Beatles.
Ian Thomas & Band of Drifters are back on March 18th and 19th. The group plays modern American roots music and encourage audiences to dance. Based mostly in Montana and Tennessee, the band also includes players from all over the country, keeping the music varied in arrangement, instrumentation, and regional influences. The Drifters’ sets draw from country, folk and blues traditions with an emphasis on original songs, done in the old style.
