Returning to Bogert Park for its annual event showcase, the Summer SLAM Festival will take place Saturday and Sunday, August 8th and 9th. As it has in years past, the 2026 festival will feature artists and performers, culinary artisans and family activities, as well as breweries and distilleries from around the state. One of the unique aspects of the SLAM festival is its spirit of inclusion and community. Free to attend, the summer festival is open to everyone to come and enjoy and connect with the creative people of our great state.
Artists Market
Artists exhibiting at SLAM represent an inspiring spectrum of talent, from emerging creatives to the nationally recognized. Throughout the festival, visitors can browse and purchase original works spanning painting, ceramics, jewelry, sculpture, glass, woodworking, textiles, photography, body products, mixed media and more. Every purchase directly supports the artist while giving you the rare opportunity to meet the maker behind the work. Hearing the stories, inspiration and creative process firsthand adds a deeper appreciation for each piece, making every purchase a meaningful keepsake or gift.
Artist Demonstrations
If you’ve ever wondered how these remarkable works come to life, be sure to stop by the SLAM demonstration tent. Throughout the weekend, featured artists will showcase their techniques in an inviting, interactive setting where visitors are encouraged to ask questions and learn about the creative process. These demonstrations offer a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at the craftsmanship, dedication and passion required to build a career in the arts.
Live Music & Performances
SLAM’s entertainment stage celebrates the incredible musical talent found throughout Montana. Local bands and singer/songwriters will perform throughout the festival, filling the grounds with an eclectic mix of styles and sounds. In addition to outstanding live music, attendees can enjoy a variety of special performances, including dance and other live entertainment that showcase the creativity and diversity of Montana’s performing arts community.

The festival’s food vendors reflect the ever-growing variety of flavors found across Montana. Montana’s thriving craft brewing industry takes center stage with an impressive selection of beers brewed exclusively in the Treasure State. Prefer spirits? Distilleries from around Montana will be pouring samples and serving handcrafted cocktails, making the libations garden the perfect place to relax, unwind and raise a glass to a weekend celebrating art, music, food and community.
