Summertime brings the return of some of Southwest Montana’s favorite recreational activities and shared enjoyment of the outdoors in its many forms. Paramount for many are the slew of sun-soaked concerts by local and touring acts at venues far and wide.
Music Ranch Montana, affectionately known as the “Last Best Live Music Venue & Dance Hall,” has kicked off another round of its popular ‘Country Dance Nights’ as the new season settles in. Offering covered and outdoor seating for every show, the venue features the largest dance floor in the region and is the perfect place to take in acts true to the genre.
Next up is a performance by Michael Armstrong & the Prairie Fire on Saturday, June 29th. Music begins at 7:30pm. Raised in Bozeman, the frontman fell in love with country music and never stopped playing it. He is heavily influenced by the Texas music scene and draws inspiration from artists like Chris Knight to George Strait, and everything in between. With the help of his band, the Prairie Fire, he lights up the place with his love for country music. A perfect excuse to hit the dance floor and sing along! Tickets for this show are $12. Dinner will be available for purchase beginning at 6:30pm. Doors at 6pm.
Looking ahead, the Ranch has announced additional summer shows by The Frontmen featuring Larry Stewart (Restless Heart), Richie McDonald (Lonestar) and Tim Rushlow (Little Texas) on July 12th. Mountain Music, an Alabama tribute with the Elton Lammie band, performs July 19th, before the Cheyenne Dance Band entertains on July 20th with many more to be announced. Stay tuned for additional details.
