Old Main hosts dual reception for mixed media January exhibits
Downtown Bozeman’s Old Main Gallery & Framing is pleased to host a pair of two-person exhibitions during the first month of 2020.
Referring to a particular aesthetic of simple, subtle and unobtrusive beauty, “Shibumi” features works by painter C. Gregory Gummersall and mixed media artist R. Nelson Parrish. The Japanese term from which the exhibit is based implies a simplicity of spirit; an attitude of refinement without pretension, honesty without apology, beauty without artifice.
In the Viewing Room, “Earth Bound” features wood fired stoneware by Josh DeWeese and felted wool works by Meghan Purcell. Artists receptions for both exhibits will be held Friday, January 10th from 5–7pm. The events are open to the public.
Old Main Gallery & Framing is located at 129 E Main in Downtown Bozeman. Hours are Monday through Friday from 10am–5:30pm, Saturday from 10am–5pm, and Sunday from 11am–5pm. Learn more about the space and framing services at www.oldmaingallery.com. •
