The Livingston Film Series will present the next in its free screening series with Abroad on Thursday, February 12th. The film begins at 7pm at the Shane Lalani Center for the Arts.
Abroad is a gripping, low-budget indie thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Despite its modest production, the film excels in creating tension with its tight script and clever pacing.
The lead actor’s performance is impressive, particularly in portraying a character consumed by obsession with great subtlety. The minimalistic set design and dark lighting enhance the eerie atmosphere, emphasizing feelings of isolation and unease. While the film occasionally relies on familiar clichés, it more than makes up for it with clever twists and a suspenseful, satisfying conclusion.
While Abroad may lack the flashy visuals of big-budget thrillers, it more than compensates with its smart storytelling and intense atmosphere. It’s a must-watch for fans of tension-filled mysteries.

Continuing its latest season of screening independent features, documentaries, local films and vintage classics, doors open at 6:30pm with screenings to follow at 7pm.
