Livingston’s Shane Lalani Center for the Arts welcomes Park High School students to the stage for their annual spring performance this month. Befitting of these talented high school-aged performers, Band Geeks opens May 5th and runs through May 21st in the Dulcie Theatre. Friday and Saturday night performances are followed by a Sunday matinee.
Band Geeks is a high-stepping tribute to high school marching bands and misfits everywhere. With just nine members and dwindling funds, the Cuyahoga High Marching Beavers are close to extinction. When a troubled athlete is relegated to their ranks, Elliott, the tuba-playing band captain and Laura, his best friend, must find a way to unite the band, embrace their inner geek, and save the Marching Beavers.
Band Geeks runs weekends from May 5th–21st. Performances take place in the Dulcie Theatre. Show times are Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 3pm. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors/students/veterans, and $10 for youth 17 & under. Make reservations at www.theshanecenter.org or call the box office at (406) 222-1420. Concessions available. UV air filtration system in the Dulcie Theatre and lobby.
Band Geeks is generously sponsored by Don & Marilyn Murdock, Spectec/TIC, Chico Hot Springs Resort, and Yellowstone Valley Lodge & Grill. •
