Following a month of incredible performances by regional musicians, Mighty Fine Time Live Events and the Shane Lalani Center for the Arts continues to present its series of FREE outdoor concerts in July. The 2023 Summer Outdoor Concert Series takes place Thursday evenings from 5–8pm.
Concerts take place on the large outdoor stage on the west end of the Shane Center in Livingston. Rx Coffee is bringing its Ambulance “Food Truck” this year, with snow cones, popcorn, beer, wine and other refreshments available for purchase.
Next up is Quenby & the West of Wayland on July 6th. Writing and performing since the early aughts, frontwoman Quenby Iandiorio is a classic country and roots musician from Paradise Valley. Attendees are in for a night of groovy Americana courtesy of one of the area’s most lauded veteran musicians and her band of talented players.
July 13th features Missoula’s Lochwood. The traditional bluegrass band plays in the tradition of Bill Monroe, Flatt & Scruggs and The Stanley Brothers. Their music features three-part harmonies, hard-driving rhythms and exciting solos. The band members hail from all over the country, coming together in celebration of rural mountain values found in western Montana.
Also this month, the “Shane Center Presents” concert series continues with two special shows by NY NY Dueling Pianos on Friday and Saturday, July 14th and 15th. Both begin at 7pm.
The comedy-based dueling piano show is always a fun, high-energy party-in-a-box! The musicians take requests, and they sing and play everything from Jimmy Buffet, Garth Brooks, Maroon 5, Billy Joel, Tom Petty, Jerry Lee Lewis, Disney, Bruno Mars, Elvis, Madonna, Ed Sheeran, Metallica and just about anything else! But most important, the show is all about the audience. It’s a clap-a-long, sing-a-long, foot-stomping fiesta blending popular music with hi-octane comedy.
Tickets are $30 for adults, $23 for seniors/college students/military, and $15 for youth. These shows are expected to sell out, so please make plans accordingly. Concessions available. UV air filtration in the Dulcie Theatre and lobby.
