Paradise Valley favorites The Fossils front shows on August 7th and 8th. Known around town for their authentic hippie music, the band guarantees a rockin’ good time. The members have been acquainted for years and are connected by their love of music.
Iowa-based Larry Myer brings his summer tour to Chico on August 9th at 8pm. The energetic singer/songwriter and acoustic performer delivers an aggressive performance that connects with a wide array of audiences.
Band of Drifters follow on August 14th. The group plays modern American roots music and encourage audiences to dance. Based mostly in Montana and Tennessee, the band also includes players from all over the country, keeping the music varied in arrangement, instrumentation and regional influences. The Drifters’ sets draw from country, folk and blues traditions with an emphasis on original songs, done in the old style.

Chico gears up for the return of its Annual Neighborhood Block Party featuring TWANG on Aug. 16th. The BBQ, beer and refreshments will be ready to order before the show, followed by the music and street dance at 6pm. The truck drivin’, heart breakin’, honky-tonk dance band has been offering up real country music to their fans for decades. These guys take no prisoners and leave nothing but happy dancers in their wake. Don’t miss their “real deal, premium country music” show!
Gardiner’s Shakey Hank drops in for back-to-back shows on August 21st and 22nd. His blues-influenced rock with grit, groove and soul will have you off your feet and on the dance floor in no time, so take a swig of your preferred flavor and get that liquid motivation flowing.
Edwin Johnson takes the reins on August 23rd at 8pm. With a song selection spanning five decades and as many genres, every EddyJ show becomes something to remember.
Shakedown County returns with shows on August 28th and 29th. Visiting from Great Falls, the foursome is one of Montana’s favorite country dance bands that delivers audiences energetic renditions of all the classics and beyond. Expect a supercharged night of country-rock.
