Sac sponsors rodeo weekend street dances, happy hour tunes
The Sacajawea Hotel in Three Forks is the go-to stop for food, drink and entertainment after day trips to Headwaters State Park.
Check out Cole Decker on July 9th. The Mississippi-born singer/songwriter pulls from his musical roots of old school country.
Also on July 9th, Sunrise Karaoke takes the late night slot. The brave are encouraged to put their name in with song of choice and let ‘em hear it. Karaoke begins at 9pm.
Three Forks native Luke Williams is set for July 10th. The singer/songwriter picked up a thing or two from the Texas live music scene and performs soulful folk/rock.
The music moves outdoors for the rodeo weekend street dances on July 16th and 17th. Havre-based country rock party group Plowed Under will perform both nights. This high energy band plays a fair amount of modern country, but don’t be surprised when they whip out covers of classic artists like Waylon or Merle, or rock faves from ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Another night of Sunrise Karaoke follows an early evening set by Montana singer/songwriter Tj Overcast on July 23rd. Borrowing styles from the genre veterans while skewing modern, his outlaw country spotlights the working lives of small-town America.
Taking over July 24th is Katie Hall. She performs country and folk music featuring acoustic guitar as well as some a capella numbers.
Maggie Hickman performs July 30th. She performs a blend of originals and notable covers, often showing off her stringwork on guitar.
Sac live music currently runs from 5–8pm. For more information about these events and a complete calendar, visit www.sacajaweahotel.com. •
