With so many venues offering live music, it’s sometimes hard to pick a spot to spend your hard-earned dollar. Downtown Bozeman’s Eagles Bar remains home to the very best talent the Valley has to offer for their regular Wednesday acoustics and weekend jamming.
Take in the acoustic stylings of local favorite Mathias on March 8th. With powerful vocals and a percussive guitar style, he’s known for his dynamic live performances full of acoustic folk, rock, and funk tunes.
The following weekend sees the return of Dilly Dilly on March 10th and 11th. The lively shows will feature a selection of your favorite rockin’ hits and plenty of room to dance.
Luke Flansburg delivers a solo show on March 15th. He’ll bring a wide variety of music ranging from funk to rock to blues. Also a member of Pinky & the Floyd, Tsunami Funk and MOTH, prepare for a fun set of covers and originals that will span the genres.
Bluebelly Junction is back March 17th and 18th, just in time for St. Patrick’s weekend. The “rockabilly” group brings an arsenal of originals and personalized covers. The high-energy band tends to veer away from slow jams, other than the occasional tune.
Midweek acoustics come courtesy of Jessica Hegg with her March 22nd performance. She plays older rock and country in the style of Stevie Nicks along with heartfelt originals.
Dilly Dilly returns for a second weekend with an additional single-night performance on March 24th. Dress like you’re ready to rock n’ roll for this bonus show by one of the Eagles’ favorite weekend bands.
The Downtown Bozeman tavern welcomes Jack Willhite on March 25th when he brings his “Rock & Roll Comedy Show” to Southwest Montana. Like a cross between Weird Al Yankovic and a classic rock tribute band, Willhite uses a half-ton of guitars, amps, lights and costumes to bring you twisted, high-energy, music parodies of your favorite rock acts. Expect renditions of classic cuts from AC/DC, Bon Jovi, Cheap Trick and Stevie Ray Vaughan, to ZZ Top, Prince, Styx, Ozzy Osbourne and Guns N’ Roses.
Two-piece rock n’ roll project Gallatin Ghost Train is set to perform March 29th. Heavily inspired by the blues, the group formerly known as As the Crow Flies features the talents of Mario Miner Jr. and Scratch.
Take part in the Eagles’ weekly Bluegrass Jam Session on Monday nights. Take a seat and enjoy, or bring an instrument and join in! The event begins at 7pm.
Exercise your pipes with Karaoke Night sponsored by Bozeman’s Best Entertainment Group, setting up at FOE every Thursday. Sing your heart out and cheer on your friends! Sign-ups start at 9pm.
Make sure to check out Bridger Mountain Big Band on Sunday nights. The ensemble performs at 7pm. The 17-piece jazz orchestra celebrates the music of Duke Ellington, Count Basie and more, with original arrangements and music of all genres from the 1900s to today.
