The familiar bone-chilling cold of a Montana winter is best remedied with a soak in the natural waters at Chico Hot Springs. The local resort offers accommodations for overnight visitors and features regular entertainment in the Saloon. Check out the upcoming live music schedule.
BlackWater Band deliver back-to-back shows on December 8th and 9th. The rock n’ roll variety group will have you off your feet and on the dance floor in no time, so take a swig of your preferred flavor and get that liquid motivation flowing.
Performing mid-month are Jackson Holte & the Highway Patrol on Dec. 15th and 16th. The Missoula-based rock n’ roll band is fronted by Holte, whose blend of earthy narrative songwriting and soaring blues guitar playing is complemented by Marko “The Midnight Shadow” Capoferri on bass, Tyson Gerhardt on guitar, Eric Rudnick on pedal steel, and Aaron Chiazza on drums. With a firm grounding in America’s folk traditions, the band is able to bound across genres in an authentic and emotive re-imagining of what a working rock n’ roll band can be. Their latest release, Last Rain of Summer, is out now.
Ian Thomas & Band of Drifters are back Dec. 22nd and 23rd. The group plays modern American roots music and encourage audiences to dance. Based mostly in Montana and Tennessee, the band also includes players from all over the country, keeping the music varied in arrangement, instrumentation and regional influences. The Drifters’ sets draw from country, folk and blues traditions with an emphasis on original songs, done in the old style.
Brickhouse Band close out the year with their seasoned talents on Dec. 29th and 30th, with a special New Year’s Eve show on Dec. 31st. The Billings-based performers will be sure to pack the dance floor with rockin’ crowd favorites and other jams. Grab a drink from the bar and boogie down!
