Red Ants Pants turns 10! Festival returns next month
Oh how long it’s been, old friend! The eagerly anticipated Red Ants Pants Music Festival is here. Held in a working cow pasture on the Jackson Ranch just outside of White Sulphur Springs, the annual festival’s return is set for July 22nd–25th.
Headlining this year are three-time Grammy Award-winning Taj Mahal, fellow Grammy winners The Mavericks and up-and-comers Watchhouse (formerly Mandolin Orange). This year’s main stage lineup will also feature performances by Lucero, The Lone Bellow, Hayes Carll, Suzy Bogguss, The Steel Wheels, Jeffrey Foucault, Mipso, Supaman, Parsonsfield, Martha Scanlan & Jon Neufeld, Laney Lou & the Bird Dogs, Jessie Veeder, Smith River Young and Jackson Holte & the Highway Patrol.
A FREE kick-off street dance will return to downtown White Sulphur on Thursday night. Red Ants Pants also includes a fantastic Side Stage lineup of 14 rising stars, agriculture and work skill demonstrations, beard & moustache competition, yodeling contest and cross cut saw competitions.
In its tenth year, the music festival benefits the Red Ants Pants Foundation, a nonprofit organization in support of women’s leadership, working farms and ranches, and rural communities. Red Ants Pants single-day, weekend and camping passes are available now. Kids 12 and under are admitted FREE.
