The winter action moves down from the mountain and into Bozeman proper this month. The Office of Student Engagement partners with Bridger Ski Foundation and Bridger Bowl to host the fourth annual MSU Campus Rail Jam on Saturday, February 8th. The event will take place at the Dobbie Lambert Turf Complex and begins at 5pm. The event is free and open to the public.
The Rail Jam showcases amazing skiing and riding on a unique slopestyle course on the Montana State University campus. The competition is open to the MSU and Bozeman communities. Competitors are chosen based on submitted videos demonstrating athletes’ abilities to navigate a course.
Adding to the excitement, the event will showcase local DJs and will be live streamed, courtesy of Montana PBS. The evening will also include local food trucks, community vendor village, giveaways and raffles, among other activities.
“This is a slopestyle event,” said Chris Pruden, leadership and engagement program manager for the Office of Student Engagement. “Think about a miniature version of a terrain park at a ski hill on campus.”
This event is possible thanks to additional support by the Associated Students of Montana State University, Rockstar Energy, Peterson Equipment and World Boards. Learn more about the 2025 Rail Jam at www.montana.edu/engagement (event found under ‘Programs’). •
