Following its initial events, Gallatin Conservation District continues its “Land & Water Stewardship for Locals” speaker series with another presentation this month. The next topic to be covered, Ditch & Irrigation Infrastructure, will take place Thursday, March 5th, at the Gallatin Gateway Community Center. The event begins at 5pm.
Join for an educational talk on our ditch systems and understanding our irrigation infrastructure within Gallatin County and how it is essential for our watershed. This talk will address everything from what a headgate is to meeting your ditch rider and understanding how irrigation feeds our groundwater.

This four-month long series is dedicated to landowners and realtors who are looking to expand their knowledge about our natural resources in Montana and how to properly manage them. These talks are free and open to the public.
