Counting down to Pine Creek Lodge’s summer concert series, the Paradise Valley venue is once again set to bring a plethora of touring acts to its outdoor stage. The first official show of the sunny season comes at the end of this month when Sicard Hollow take the stage. Performing on May 30th, the show begins at 7pm with opening support by Cousin Curtiss.
The four-piece progressive bluegrass band formed with a mutual passion for pushing the boundaries of genre. Heavily influenced by the Grateful Dead and New Grass Revival, these young pickers bring new energy to a timeless style with a combination of fearless improvisation and instrumental prowess. Their latest EP release, The Key to Peace of Mind, is available now.
North Fork Crossing follows on May 31st with an always adventurous set.
Their genre resides somewhere in a strange untapped musical realm between traditional bluegrass, psychedelic rock, Americana and folk. The quintet are drawn to bluegrass reaching a younger generation, priding themselves on their unique sound being the “evolution of string band music.”
Opening a new month on June 1st is Dead tribute Terrapin Flyer.
Their music has been described as an extension of the Grateful Dead’s improvisational, genre-blurring style. Overall, Terrapin Flyer is a talented and highly regarded band that has made a significant impact on the national music scene. Their shows are always lively and dynamic, and their music is guaranteed to get audiences dancing and singing along.
