Beginning Monday, July 25 – Thursday, July 29th the Pine Creek Road from the National Forest boundary to the trailhead will be periodically closed for repair and maintenance work.
The Pine Creek Campground will remain open but campers may experience delays while work is ongoing. During the time the road is closed the popular Pine Creek Falls and Lake trail can be accessed through the George Lake Trailhead.
“Construction crews will be grading the dirt portion of the road and fixing the rocky, potholed sections,” said Nancy Taylor, District Recreation Specialist. “The plan is to smooth the road out and make it fit for travel by passenger vehicles and those pulling trailers again.”
