Polish your photography skills w/ F-11 ahead of busy holiday season

They’re back for Fall! F-11 Photo’s information and experience-rich classes are ripe with opportunities to refine your skills, get a handle on your devices, and interact with knowledgeable instructors. Here’s a look at some of the upcoming courses and other events.
On Thursday, October 18th, Flash Portrait Photography: DIY Holiday Family Photos will run from 6–8pm. Skip the line for getting holiday photos at the box stores. Ignore the online and in-mailbox marketing and flyers. You can capture the perfect Family Holiday Photo right at home with supplies you already have. Learn how to use your digital camera, or even your mobile phone, to freeze a memorable family moment in time. Once you dial in the perfect shot, on Nov. 3rd from 9–11am, bring in that photo, enjoy some coffee and snacks and work with the skilled creative staff at F-11 to design the ideal holiday card for you and your family. Registration is $50, or $40 for F-11 VIP members.
Painting with Light Photography Workshop follows on Saturday, October 20th from 7–10pm. It’s eerie but you really can get great images after sunset. Join, if you dare, and do a little after-dark shooting with F-11’s Jon Shaver. Break out a flashlight and do some painting with light, discuss non-flashlight lighting options, and get creative with colors. Have fun exploring the endless options available to you with night photography AND a whole lot more that can only be discovered by being there. Registration is $50, or $40 for F-11 VIP members.
Lightroom Set-Up & Organization will take place Thursday, October 25th from 6–8pm. Take the first steps out of Apple Photos or Google Gallery and streamline your photo management when you learn the essentials for getting started in Lightroom, Adobe’s Industry leading raw processor with F-11’s Matt MaCoy. Lightroom offers more options for tagging and organizing photos, including new cataloging techniques and rating and tagging system for easy image look-up and accessibility. Explore best practices for protecting and backing up workflow, and discover the capabilities of Lightroom’s library module. Registration is $50, or $40 for F-11 VIP members.
