Verge hosts fun, familial adventures ahead of Seven Homeless Mammoths

Verge is entertaining its way into the sunny season with one or two spectacularly fantastic performances for stage-lovers of all ages! Here’s a look at what’s happening at “The Little Black Box on the Edge (of Bozeman).”
Verge recently announced PLAY, an interactive, problem-solving adventure fit for the whole family! Participants will laugh, learn, connect and grow together as families in the theater team up to complete a story as it is being acted out on stage. PLAY will be held at 3pm on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, May 18th–26th. Tickets are $9.
Then, kick off summer with Madeleine George’s award-winning Seven Homeless Mammoths Wander New England. Dean Wreen is not having a good week. Her college is in dire financial straits and a plan to close its tiny, all-but-forgotten natural history museum is sending unexpected shock waves across campus and out into the local community. At home, her ex-lover, Greer, is staying with her – sending shock waves of a different sort through her relationship with her current (and much younger) girlfriend, Andromeda. Town-gown relations are in tatters! The local newspaper is erupting in protest! Even the awful, historically inaccurate dioramas in the museum have started mouthing off! A screwball sex comedy about the perils of monogamy, certainty, and academic administration.
Performances of Seven Homeless Mammoths Wander New England are set for 8pm on Friday and Saturday evenings, May 24th through June 8th. Tickets are $19. Recommended for ages 17+ due to adult themes and language.
Also on the edge of Bozeman, the Monday night Improv on the Verge shows are sure to bring about the belly laughs! With a mixture of short-form games (like you see on the popular tv show Whose Line Is It Anyway?) and long-form stories, everything you see on stage is created on the spot using audience suggestions. With crowd favorites, the Bozeman Improverts AND some new faces, you won’t want to miss the best way to start your week. Come get cheap thrills for your laugh hole with advanced tickets for only $9, also available at the door at additional cost. An upcoming show is set for June 3rd at 7pm. Ages 17+.
