Logjam Presents is pleased to welcome Pinky & the Floyd for two live tribute performances at The ELM this month. The shows are set for Friday, March 28th, at 5pm and 9pm. Tickets are on sale now.
In September of last year, the band tragically lost their most iconic member, Joe Kirchner. Known for his searing keytar solos, contagious stage presence and large pink beehive wig, Joe became the face (and driving force) behind Pinky’s popularity for the past 16 years. His loss has not only affected the band, but left a huge hole in the entire music community of Montana.
Pinky will honor their lost friend with two stunning tribute concerts in his name. Both the matinee and late show will feature archival photos and video footage from throughout Joe’s life, as well as some very special guests from Pinky’s past. You will also be surprised to hear Joe’s actual keytar audio mixed in with the band’s live sound during select iconic Joe moments. This one-of-a-kind production will only happen in Bozeman, and is not to be missed!
Since its inception in 2008, the band has exploded in popularity, selling out nearly every show, wherever they travel. Their performances strike the perfect balance between intimacy and intensity, and the energy and stage presence is unprecedented. The band performs over 80 songs, and seven full albums worth of Pink Floyd music making them one of the premier Pink Floyd tribute acts in the industry. You can expect albums in their entirety, and a little something from every Floyd genre – from Syd Barrett to Division Bell, and everything in between.
Event proceeds go to the Joe Kirchner Memorial Foundation – a nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring the legacy of Joe Kirchner by empowering the Bozeman music community and providing support and resources for musicians, music industry professionals and their families. There will also be exclusive Pinky/Joe merchandise for sale to support the fundraising efforts.
