Feeding audiences with intimate shows until their next summer spread, Pine Creek Lodge continues to host indoor performances for those looking to visit their favorite venue. Events have moved inside but the music is as enjoyable as ever. Take a look at the upcoming acts.
Local singer/songwriter Abby Webster performs for one night only on Friday, April 5th. Her songs blend alt-country, folk and bedroom pop elements, showcasing lyrics that are as whimsical as they are visceral. New singles “Calliope” and “Chickadee” are available now.
Following on Saturday, April 6th is another one-off show with Bryan McPherson at 6pm. The sonic son of Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen, raised in the rough-and-tumble of Dorchester, Boston, McPherson is what happens when an Americana-tinged sound gets sieved through a punk attitude: Working-class songs that make your head nod and feet tap.
Check out back-to-back shows from Pixie & the Partygrass Boys on Friday and Saturday, April 12th and 13th. The band is composed of lifelong professional musicians drawn together by a common love of bluegrass and skiing in the Wasatch. Featuring soulful, often harmonic vocals, solid strings and rhythm, this tight-knit crew was born out of the belly of a warm cabin after a long day on the slopes – drinking whiskey and singing into the night. With a high energy sound and a love for silly outfits, they travel the land spreading the gospel of whiskey, chickens and fun for everyone.
The following weekend features Bozeman’s STiLGONE on Friday and Saturday, April 19th and 20th. The band plays a unique fusion of genres, spanning funk, soul, hip-hop, reggae, psychedelic rock and more. While covering so many styles they manage to create a cohesive sound that is uniquely their own. Their live shows are an immersive trip through detailed soundscapes, danceable grooves and the lyrics of songwriter and guitarist Symon Palmer. Their brand new release, B.O.L.O., is available now.
Pickin’ Pear visit the Lodge for a pair of shows on Friday and Saturday, April 26th and 27th. They combine their non-traditional stylings and traditional instruments to create an original mix of modern American music. The duo takes the banjo and ukulele down the road of folk, rock and bluegrass.
Also on April 27th, aficionados of all things suds will converge for the Pine Creek Lodge Brew Fest. Sample craft beer from your favorite Montana breweries, enjoy live music from Matt Wallin & His Nervous Breakdown, food and lots of fun. The event will be held from noon–5pm. Event tickets are $35 in advance or $40 day of. A discounted designated driver ticket will be available at the gate. A FREE shuttle courtesy of Party Bus Rentals will be leaving from Katabatic Brewing at 12:30pm and returning after the Fest. Thanks to our friends at Party Bus Rentals.
