Following a short recess after another incredible sunny season of outdoor live music, Pine Creek Lodge has added some shows to the winter calendar for those looking to visit their favorite venue. Events have moved indoors but the music will be as enjoyable as ever.
The Sweet Lillies bring their winter tour to Paradise Valley on January 12th. With their acoustic string-band lineup of guitar, viola and upright bass given flight by ethereal, vocal harmonies that float like a dream, the Lillies’ music has an old-time soul with a forward-looking eye. Their new album, Equality, is available now.
Spend an evening with tribute group 710 Ashbury on Jan. 19th and 20th. The Helena four-piece lays down all your classic Grateful Dead favorites with every spirited performance. Committed to preserving the legacy of the popular genre-skewing rock band, 710 features a talented group of veteran Montana musicians.
Band of Drifters perform on Jan. 26th and 27th. The group plays modern American roots music and encourage audiences to dance. Based mostly in Montana and Tennessee, the band also includes players from all over the country, keeping the music varied in arrangement, instrumentation and regional influences. The Drifters’ sets draw from country, folk and blues traditions with an emphasis on original songs, done in the old style.
Looking to a new month, The Sleepless Elite will deliver back-to-back shows on February 2nd and 3rd. The duo-turned-foursome has inspiration rooted in musical theater, and the sound of artists like Paramore and Blondie, Blink-182 and the Strokes. Their unique sound can be heard on their latest release, Still Dreaming.
Advance tickets for these shows are available now, but space is limited. Please visit www.pinecreeklodgemontana.com to learn more about these and other upcoming off-season shows. •
