Paradise Valley’s favorite outdoor stage welcomes busy July slate
There’s no better place to experience the intersection of the outdoors and live music than Pine Creek Lodge. Surrounded by mountains and greenery, their stage rarely goes unused during the summer months.
Independence Day weekend features the one and only Charlie Parr on July 2nd with local help from Chandler Huntley. The incorruptible outsider writes novelistic, multi-layered stories that shine a kaleidoscopic light on defiant, unseen characters thriving in the shadows all around us. Red Elvises are back on July 3rd. With humorous lyrics and grooves that practically force you to dance, the Elvises’ “Siberian Surf Rock” is sure to entertain. Montana’s own Road Agents will open the show. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 day of.
Paradise Valley favorites The Fossils will provide a celebratory soundtrack on the Fourth. Known around the area for their authentic hippie music, the band guarantees a rockin’ good time. Tickets are $10.
East coast ensemble Goose front back-to-back shows on July 6th and 7th. Their music fluidly traverses genres with head-spinning hooks, technical fireworks, and the chemistry of long-time friends. See venue website for ticketing information.
Also visiting the Lodge for a pair of shows is local tribute extraordinaire Pinky & the Floyd on July 8th and 9th. Their performances strike the perfect balance between intimacy and intensity, and the energy and stage presence is unprecedented. Tickets are $40 each night.
Following on July 10th are The Young Dubliners with local openers Doublewide Dreams. After thirty years as one of the world’s leading Celtic rock bands, the boys return to Southwest Montana with crowd favorites and cuts from their upcoming tenth studio album. Coming mid-month are regional rockers Daniel Kosel & Madrona Road on July 15th. They’ll bring visceral blues, sweet country and sultry rock with hot, tight grooves audiences can boogie down and shake it on the dance floor to. Tickets are $10.
Enjoy a double-header courtesy of folk duo Watchhouse on July 21st and 22nd. Formerly Mandolin Orange, their new record represents a reinvention as a band at the regenerative edges of subtly experimental folk-rock. Tickets are $50 or $90 for a two-night pass.
Robert Earl Keen brings his “Feelin’ Good Again Tour” to Pine Creek with a July 23rd show. Three decades after the release of his first album, the veteran musician continues to write, record and tour across the nation. Waylon Payne opens. Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 day of.
Closing out the month are The Infamous Stringdusters on July 30th and 31st. Digging deep into their bluegrass roots, their latest album pays homage to the Father of Bluegrass and was recorded remotely from their home studios. Tickets are $60 or $100 for a two-night pass.

Also in Paradise Valley, Pine Creek presents its Brunch Live Music Series. The weekend offering regularly showcases regional musicians from 11am–1pm. Order some food and find a spot! Upcoming acts include: Katherine Taylor on July 4th, Raina Wallace July 11th, Dane Thompson July 17th, Benny Bassett July 18th, Keith Scott July 24th, Foxy Blues July 25th and Tamela Hauer on July 31st.
