Bozeman Film Society continues its latest season with a screening of Jordan’s official selection for the 98th Academy Awards, All That’s Left of You. The event will be held at Downtown Bozeman’s Rialto Theater on Wednesday, February 11th. Directed by Cherien Dabis, the film will screen at 6:45pm.
In the Occupied West Bank of the 1980s, a Palestinian teenager is swept into a protest that changes the course of his family’s life. Reeling from its aftermath, his mother, Hanan, shares the story that led them to that fateful moment. Spanning seven decades, this epic drama traces the hopes and heartaches of one uprooted family, revealing not only the scars of displacement, but the unbreakable spirit of survival.
Presented in Arabic with subtitles. Not Rated, the film runs 145 minutes. The New York Times Critics Pick was produced by Mark Ruffalo and Javier Bardem.

Returning to the Ellen Theatre, critical darling Hamnet screens on Tuesday, Feb. 17th. The film is Directed by Chloé Zhao whose 2020 feature Nomadland secured her the Academy Award for Best Director as only the second woman to ever win in the category.
Hamnet tells the powerful story of love and loss that inspired the creation of Shakespeare’s timeless masterpiece, Hamlet.
After her son Hamnet dies, aged eleven, Agnes Shakespeare is struck with intense grief. As she mourns with her husband William, the pair struggle to come to terms with the frailty of life and the ruthlessness of the plague. Set in 16th-century England, Agnes, a healer by trade, must find a way to move on with her life and provide for her other children.
Hamnet was nominated in eight categories as part of the 98th Academy Awards, including Best Film, Director and Actress. Starring Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal, the film is Rated PG-13 with a runtime of 125 minutes.
Hosted by BFS, the annual Oscar-Nominated Shorts event will be held at the Ellen on Friday, Feb. 27th. The evening begins at 7pm with an animation, documentary and live-action triple feature.
