Music Ranch Montana, affectionately known as the “Last Best Live Music Venue & Dance Hall,” is host to its popular ‘Country Dance Nights’ as the season continues. Offering covered and outdoor seating for every show, the venue features the largest dance floor in the region and is the perfect place to take in acts true to the genre.
Next up, The Highwayman Show resurrects the sounds of some of the genre’s best on Friday, August 23rd. The show pays heartfelt and powerful tribute to the timeless music of Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and Kris Kristofferson. Tony Suraci, “The Highwayman,” is a gifted and soulful vocalist who channels the spirits of all four voices in an exhilarating performance backed by a terrific band. Together they capture the essence of the mid-70s outlaw country era. From the best Cline, Joplin and Carter duets to the signature trumpets of “Ring of Fire,” the show delivers the crowd-pleasing classics like “Me and Bobby McGee,” “On the Road Again,” “Good Ole Boys” and “Folsom Prison Blues” – with the excitement of an encore from start to finish!
Twitty & Lynn, a salute to Conway and Loretta, follows on Saturday, August 24th. There’s a moment right at the very beginning of any show by the duo that affords country music fans the chance to look back in time. Just after the band has played the signature intro to “Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man,” Tre Twitty and Tayla Lynn shoot each other a glance that summons the electrifying chemistry of their grandparents: Tre is the grandson of Conway Twitty, Tayla is the granddaughter of Loretta Lynn.
Enjoy a show by Clint Anderson & the Montana Gazette on Friday, August 30th. The foursome is known for their brand of boot stompin’ old school country music. Their extensive repertoire of country favorites ensures a filled dance floor enjoyed by all ages that resonates with a pure Montana vibe. The band consists of Clint Anderson (lead vocals/rhythm guitar), Derek Hofer (guitar/harmony vocals), Silas Rea (fiddle), Cabot Metz (steel guitar), Greg Valor (drums) and Shawna Lockhart (doghouse bass).
