Music on Main goes virtual in July, Laney Lou & the Bird Dogs to open
Beginning this month, the Downtown Bozeman Association is proud to present the 20th Annual Music on Main Summer Concert Series from the heart of Downtown Bozeman. The local favorite won’t look like it has in past summers, but event organizers have put their creative heads together in an effort to keep the tradition alive.
This summer, the events will be streamed LIVE from the Rialto Theater. The weekly performances will be available to view through the DBA Facebook page every Thursday night, July 2nd through July 30th, from 7–8:30pm.
Music on Main fans are encouraged to watch from their favorite Downtown Bozeman restaurant and bar locations, at home, around the campfire, or anywhere there’s room to dance at a safe distance.
Opening the virtual series are Laney Lou & the Bird Dogs on July 2nd. The band features the talents of Lena Schiffer (vocals, guitar & percussion), Matt Demarais (vocals, banjo & dobro), Ethan Demarais (bass), Brian Kassay (fiddle, mandolin & harmonica) and Josh Moore (vocals & guitar). Having shared stages with Keb Mo’, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Corb Lund, Jeff Austin, Mark Chesnutt and more, their latest album Sweet Little Lies features singles “Carolina” and “Time or Tears.” They’re currently putting the finishing touches on a new live album recorded last fall.
Please note: although streaming live from the Rialto, the July concerts are private events adhering to health guidelines and are not open to the public.
