Downtown Bozeman’s Eagles Bar pours a stout live music double, featuring the very best talent the Valley has to offer with regular Wednesday acoustics and weekend jamming. Here’s a look at what’s happening in the coming weeks.
Wyoming singer/songwriter Quinlan Valdez takes the stage August 13th. He is a banjoist and guitar player who merges his original lyrics to create his unique brand of acoustic American music. His latest release, Where Miracles Play, is available now.
Billings-based FlavaTown will bring down the house on Aug. 15th and 16th. The multi-piece is known for their brand of flavorful old school soul, R&B and funk pop grooves. The band features Scott Morales, Alex Nauman, Erik Olsen, Gabe Bonvicino and Isaiah Morales.
Icarus band member Nathan Roadacker fronts a solo acoustic set on Aug. 20th. Visiting from Billings, expect stripped down renditions of the grunge-funk his full band is known for.
The Love Darts perform on Aug. 22nd and 23rd. The hard rock punk band got its start playing venues like the Haufbrau, having since grown into a fine-tuned project featuring some of Bozeman’s most energetic guitarists. Take a listen to their self-professed “sloppy rock n’ roll” on their EP, Girly.
BLKWRM returns to the Eagles for an Aug. 27th performance. His music is inspired by R&B and soul, paired with the folky feel of the emo music he discovered as a teenager. Blending it all into a vibey-forward live looping set.
Local rockstars Tsunami Funk close out the month on Aug. 29th and 30th. The Bozeman-favorite group always packs the dance floor with Funk/R&B-rocking grooves. They play tunes from artists like Stevie Wonder, Pharrell Williams, Bruno Mars, Red Hot Chili Peppers, James Brown, Earth Wind & Fire, Sly & the Family Stone, Kool & the Gang, Van Morrison, Steely Dan, Bob Marley and more.
Make sure to check out Bridger Mountain Big Band on Sunday nights. The ensemble performs at 7pm. The 17-piece jazz orchestra celebrates the music of Duke Ellington, Count Basie and more, with original arrangements and music of all genres from the 1900s to today. Check them out on social media for performance announcements.
Laugh it up every Monday with the Eagles’ Comedy Open Mic Night. Whether you’re a spectator or have a few jokes of your own, sets begin at 8pm.
Coming soon to the Eagles: Thursday evenings will now feature live music, and BINGO returns on Saturdays beginning next month. Stay tuned for details.
Acoustic Wednesdays start at 8pm and weekend bands are on at 9pm. Head downtown for some great live music or stop into the Eagles for a cold one when the next hankering hits. •
